Change your recording settings to Line In, then hit record with audacity.
I've found that every system is different, so just find every setting you have on the computer and change it to line in. Usually in preferences and properties, etc...

Also, test beforehand, the mic volume on audacity needs to be set quite a bit lower...

Change your computer calender/clock settings to Central Time and see if you can then figure it out?

i was told today that 9 cdt is an hour earlier than cst. so that would be 11 est, but im not fore sure.
