| So Dax has said that he'd love to play in Europe, but that he needs a booking agent here. Does anyone know how this works? I also wonder if there's a lot of European fans on this board. |

| I'll try to talk to some people. Would be pretty sweet, if I had a hand in bringing Dax over the pond. Ohboyohboy... |

| It's a good idea to convert new fans, too. Once they hear him, they'll be hooked. Europe has much better music fans than the US right now. |

| shouldnt be too hard to find a booking agent in europe.. just make sure the places dax would go to isnt a complete hole-in-the-ground(i know he's played in shitty places, but still).. you wouldnt want his first experience there to be shitty. |

| That's also where he tends to thrive though... in the hole in the wall bar-type atmosphere. Judging from the shows I've seen. |

| Do you think it´s possible for a person like me, with no knowledge of all this booking stuff, could get a booking agent to contact Dax (or his manager?) Would it cost anything? |

| sure ya can, hun...just get names and phone numbers of places you think Dax should play, plus the person's name who does the booking for the venue and pass that info along to Dax's management company: AnimalHeadManagement@gmail.com
and/or his booking agent Matt@Highroadtouring.com
..what they do with it after that depends on a buncha business stuff...
good luck! I KNOW Dax would LOVE to play in Amsterdam!!! |

| It costs so much to send him over there and when the shows are 12 bucks a pop its hard to break even when playing across the pond is what I was told by the man. |

| Hey guys
I'm from Belgium and have been a long time fan of Dax. I'm still very fond of the Acid Bath/Agents Of Oblivion stuff but slowly getting into his more recent tunes too.
The vibe that emenates from this mans voice is truly unique. And he's a terrific songwriter too.
Anyway... enough praise.
In Belgium, there are some really cool venues for Dax to play:
http://www.trixonline.be/site/content/home.asp http://www.charlatan.be/ http://www.lintfabriek.eu/info/lintfabriekkarick/
These venues program a lot of different artists, ranging from acoustic rock to hardcore to death metal.
I've been there a lot and i'm sure of it that Dax would feel right at home on those stages.

| i know of a lot of musicians that are lukewarm popular in the states but are super popular overseas. in fact i know i'd love to see a live show by a couple people but they only play their hometown and europe. i think dax would be loved everywhere he went. i wonder if he's ever thought about it? |

| It would take a lot to get him to go over there. To book him here is really expensive. I mean expensive. And that is not counting travel, lodging, etc. I think it would be great exposure for him, but unlikely at the moment. Besides, if he blew up and got popular out there, then ended up getting super popular over here... (i'm talking stupid popular),....it might create a monster. On a personal note... Dax is my only musical inspiration that is still alive. I would hate to see that kind of fame destroy him. |

| I'm sure the dude is certainly capable of staying true to himself.
There's a lot of independent artists from the States that are popular in Europe without compromising their own individuality.

yeah the funny thing about the musicians i like who just tour europe aren't well known AT ALL in the states. they're kinda quirky, and offbeat, but that's why i like them. (Johnny Dowd would be one of my favorites. he's got some crazy great lyrics and a very strange style.) still, i'd hate to miss out on a dax show cause he's not around here. (but i'd be happy for my friends overseas to see him.) i bet it does cost to play around. his tickets are really cheap though. (and he about sold out the b'ham show so he's known here. i know i'd pay twice the amount of the ticket to see him and it'd still be cheap.) |

| It was $10 to get in at the last show we went to, an extra $5 to get a membership so we could get in. Getting to see Dax live and hang out and toke with him was priceless. Of course there was the cost of the rental car, hotel, gas, beer and food but it was all money well spent. Well except the food . So far both times we've seen Dax we've spent over $500 and we'll do it again! If I had money to burn I'd travel to Europe to see him play but, yeah, I don't see that ever happening. |

That was not what I was saying at all. I know he would stay true to himself. I also know that even at the level of fame he is at now, there are times when he wants to freak out. |

| He talked a lot about his music and what he is trying to accomplish with it (while we were toking ) and I say mission accomplished Dax! Pretty much everything he said is how his music makes me feel. Doesn't really have to do with this topic but it made me think of it. Wish I hadn't been so drunk . |

| There are a bunch of Dax fans here in Europe, but we're not really organised at all. So, it's hard to see how many there actually are. Of course, there are also the folks who go to any gig here. |

| Do it. Sadly it does little good sometimes. I can't believe how many times I read people posting about play you never play here and he was there like 2 weeks earlier....or the day after shows all the posts of Sucks I had to miss show or I totally spaced on the day.
People are just not so awesome. |
