I could see them really trying to make a reunion work with dax. I'm sure he's been giving them the run around for years and they finally got sick of it. either way I think they should leave this bands legacy alone. sometimes... dead is better.

I think this is a great idea. Perhaps they could turn this into a reality show, have potential replacements live in a house together with one being eliminated each week. Perform various tasks and be judged. Give out roses to those who advance. Someone call VH1 lets make this happen.

ACID BATH is not looking for a vocalist. There is no ACID BATH without [late bassist] Audie Pitre, so there will never be ‘new’ ACID BATH material.

“Currently, most of the surviving members of ACID BATH — Jimmy, Mike, and myself — have been considering the possibility of doing some shows in the future, as an ACID BATH tribute band, but nothing has been set in stone, and it is still just an idea. Unfortunately, [vocalist] Dax Riggs declines to be a part of such a tribute. We respect Dax and his decision.

“If we decide to put together an ACID BATH tribute band, the vocalist will be carefully chosen, but it is way too early to discuss choosing a vocalist at this time.

“I’d like to thank the loyal, diehard ACID BATH fans for their years of support, not just while ACID BATH was together, but for supporting us in all of our individual music projects.”

I was excited there for a second for some Acid Bath action. We all know by now Dax was not going to participate so no big story there. The first fb post did raise some folks hopes, especially the hopes of those folks who can sing/scream well enough to audition.

I hope that tribute band comes to fruition. But it does sound like a distant in the future idea.

I remember a few years ago, someone from the band asked dax if he would be down to do an all acoustic thing acid bath reunion, and still declined, guess hes just not that dude anymore. sammy is still full of satan  

I was always under the impression that the band ended badly.
we all like to think it was audies death but fact is the kept on with a replacement bassist (I think it was audie's brother) for a few months later.
they were split from the get go. all the stories regarding their porn theater period start like this:
"dax and mike on one side, sammy and jimmy on the other"
these guys fucking hated each other with a passion.
the fact is that it took 'em about twenty years to get all these guys in one room.
let alone play together.

I don't know about them personally, but that's possible, but the way I see it is that the band was so diverse musically, each member had their own vibe, that it was inevitable for them to clash musically speaking anyway. but that's also what made them so great too
