My friend owned a club back in '04 right here in Beckley, WV.

As people probably DONT know, Byzantine is from West Virginia.

About 1000 people showed up to support a local band that actually made it.

They took the stage and the first thing they said was "Were Byzantine, from Florida."

They got the boo bird blues all night long!

Honestly, never really payed much attention to their music. I was really into, and still am, black metal. Their style of metal is too technical, groovless & not heavy enough for my taste.
