I like a lot of music from the 60s-70s. Seems like the whole world was Bob Dylan crazy for 20+ years.
Maybe I'm just too wierd. Or maybe I'm not wierd enough. I would like to enjoy his music, but it just wont happen for me.
I've watched some documentarys & listened to some random songs, but I just cant get into his music. Anyone got any tips for me on some good Dylan tracks?

I respect what he did, but I can't stand his voice.

Ditto. Not surprised to see a lot of this sentiment on a Dax board. Obviously this is a community that appreciates great vocals, something notably lacking in Bob Dylan's recordings...

Put on 'The Freewheeling Bob Dylan' record and listen to the words, and how revolutionary and emotional they were. If you get hooked into the words and you can get past his voice (which, indeed, got worse with age) then you might appreciate 'Bringing it All Back Home', 'Blonde On Blonde', 'Blood on the Tracks' etc...

I'm a Dylan fan, but he's definitely an acquired taste.

i like some Dylan but now most of his stuff makes me wish he'd get dead already. he's like a parody of himself. and he was way too serious about himself.

i kind of got mad when i saw this topic post cause i thought it was gonna be an appreciation thread!
i've tried for years to like this guy... can't do it. i like "i want you" thats about it... and the first couple songs off "time out of mind", other than that i don't get it.

Nashville Skyline is probably my favorite Dylan record.
